Yes. Custom books are a little more of a problem, however, just because a new edition of a textbook is available does not mean the book is obsolete. In fact, I used previous editions in many of my classes and it made no difference. The page numbers were 1 or 2 off, but I could still find the material for homework or tests.

Custom books seem to be the problem with Strayer University, when books are changed every 12 weeks in favor of the University it causes greater deficits for students who could reidrect scarce funding to academic learning rather than one time books that will simply sit and collect dust.
